
Backend Developer
Baltic LEI
A backend developer at Baltic LEI plays a critical role in the success of the business. You will be part of a small tight-knit team, helping make decisions about technical implementations and business processes, as well as implementing and maintaining features.
About us:
Baltic LEI AS is an international registration agent of Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) codes, headquartered in Estonia. Baltic LEI’s mission is to increase transparency and improve risk management in financial markets.
An LEI code is an international 20-character identifier, issued by GLEIF, a non-profit founded by the G20 countries. Financial institutions and supervisory organizations worldwide use LEI codes to identify parties in securities transactions.
Baltic LEI was founded with Estonian capital in 2017, and operates in 23 countries on 3 continents, managing more than fifty thousand companies’ LEI codes.
Requirements:
- At least 3y experience with PHP
- At least 3y experience with MySQL databases
- Systemic problem-solving skills
- Ability to learn independently
- Consistency and patience. We solve difficult tasks. Sometimes it takes days or weeks to figure out, to gather, and organize information
Tasks:
A developer working in our team is responsible for their features from beginning to end. That means his work involves:
1) Identifying technical requirements (spec) with the business team and other developers and writing them down
2) Software development based on the requirements
3) Writing automated tests for self-written code
4) Manual testing
5) Code deployment
6) Feature monitoring in the weeks following deployment
In the process, the Developer is supported by other members of the development and business team.
We expect the Developer to support other developers in the analysis and code review.
