What Motivates People Working in ITC

The pandemic has affected the way work is done around the world. On average in the world, 50% of working-age adults continued to work normally, and 67% of people in the IT and communications sector continued to work normally. As a result of the crisis, 9% of people in the world lost their jobs, compared to 1% in the field of IT and communications. The results of the REBR survey also shows that when there was a fear of losing their job, they were much more likely to look for a new employer and change jobs (26%). If there was a feeling of security that the job will be maintained, a much smaller number of people changed employers (11%).

TOP 5 reasons for choosing the employer are mostly the same among working-age adults worldwide. While the financial well-being of a company is very important in the IT and communications sector, an opportunity to advance in one's career (49%) was instead represented in the global TOP 5.
