There are More Than 13,000 Vacancies in Estonia

According to Statistics Estonia, there were a total of 13,076 vacancies in the first quarter of this year, which is 38% more than in the same period of the previous year. More than 4,000 people resigned at the initiative of the employer.

There are a total of 631,445 vacancies and occupied positions, most were in manufacturing, trade and education. The largest number of vacancies is in wholesale and retail (2515), manufacturing (1530) and education (1480).

The majority or 80% of vacancies are in Harju County, including 70% in Tallinn, followed by Tartu at 6.2% and Ida-Viru County at 2.7%.

"Once again, this statistics confirms what is happening in the labor market - it is difficult to find suitable candidates for the company, there is a lot of pressure on salaries and in fact a good salary number is no longer enough to keep employees loyal or attract them to your company. Many companies try to find employees themselves but at some point they still need the help of a staffing company. As there are so many vacancies, candidates have the opportunity to choose and submit conditions, if the company can offer a pleasant working environment and other benefits and flexibility in addition to a good salary number, they will have a greater opportunity to hire a motivated employee.” Tatjana Süvaorg ANCOR Business Development Manager
